What Do Nutrition and Dietetics Graduates Do?
The Department of Nutrition and Dietetics is a 4-year undergraduate department that is taught at universities. Those who successfully complete this department are given the title of "Dietitian" or "Nutritionist". Students who successfully complete their undergraduate education can continue their graduate education in the fields of Biochemistry, Anatomy, Physiology, Public Health and Metabolism as well as nutrition and dietetics. dietitians; They are divided into executive dietitian, treatment dietitian and public health dietitian. The executive dietitian deals with the purchase, preparation, cooking and service of food items to institutions such as hospitals, schools, dormitories, industry and public institutions. It supervises its implementation by making the necessary nutrition planning so that people can be fed in the best and most economical way. The treatment dietitian arranges the special diets to be given according to the condition of the patients, ensures that the food is given to the patient and consumed by the patient. Educates patients who are discharged and come to the outpatient clinic about the diet they should apply at home. Public health dietitians work in health centers and make necessary recommendations for a healthy diet of the public. In addition, dietitians work as educators and consultants in food technology. In short, dietitians should not be thought of as people who only help those who want to lose weight.

Graduates of this department can work as dieticians in health institutions, inpatient treatment institutions and public health institutions.
